This is the first time in a decade that an APD officer has been shot and killed in the line of duty.
Just before 3 a.m., Interim Police Chief Robin Henderson said a 911 call came in from a caller who was screaming for help and said someone was stabbing a woman at a home at 9308 Bernoulli Drive. Officers responded to the call and were notified that there were two people injured inside the home, with the suspect.
